1. Return Eligibility

You may request a return within 7 days of the delivery date if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The product is unused, undamaged, and in its original condition.
  • All accessories, components, parts, and printed materials (manual, project cards, etc.) are present and unharmed.
  • The original packaging is intact and undamaged.
  • An unboxing video is provided at the time of submitting the return request (see Section 2).

2. Unboxing Video Requirement

article  An unboxing video is required for ALL return and damage claims.

This policy protects both parties — it confirms the condition of the product at the moment of opening. Returns and damage claims submitted without an unboxing video cannot be processed.

The unboxing video must:

  • Be a single, uninterrupted recording from the moment the outer packaging is first opened.
  • Clearly show all kit contents and their condition.
  • Be submitted at the time of the return or damage claim request — videos submitted after the claim is raised will not be accepted.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Products showing signs of use, partial or full assembly, or disassembly.
  • Products with missing components, parts, or accessories — if the shortage was not reported within 24 hours of delivery (see Section 7 for the missing-parts process).
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper assembly not following the illustrated manual, or use outside the recommended age guidelines (8+).
  • Products where the original packaging, sticker sheet, project cards, or manual is missing or damaged.
  • Products purchased under a clearance, "final sale", or special promotional price.
  • Return requests submitted more than 7 days after the delivery date.

4. Safety & Liability Disclaimer

DigiDocks kits are designed for children aged 8 and above, under appropriate adult supervision. Damage, injury, or product failure resulting from any of the following is not covered by our returns, replacement, or refund policy and is outside DigiDocks Kids' liability:

  • Use by children below the recommended age without adult supervision.
  • Assembly steps performed outside of, or contradicting, the illustrated manual.
  • Use of non-recommended batteries or power sources (e.g. voltage exceeding 9V).
  • Deliberate or accidental modification, disassembly, or alteration beyond the kit's designed projects.
  • Physical damage caused by dropping, crushing, or liquid exposure.

5. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email us with the subject line "Return Request — Order #[your order number]". Include your order ID, the reason for your return, and attach your unboxing video.
  2. We will review your request and respond within 2 business days with return approval or rejection, along with instructions.
  3. If approved, pack the product securely in its original packaging and ship it to our address using a trackable courier service. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, or manufacturing defect confirmed by us).
  4. Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will notify you of the outcome within 2 business days.
  5. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days (see Section 6).

6. Refunds

  • Online payments (UPI, card, net banking via Razorpay): Refund processed to the original payment instrument within 5–7 business days. Bank processing times may vary.
  • Cash on Delivery orders: Refund via direct bank transfer. You must provide your bank account number, IFSC code, and account holder name when submitting the return request. Transfer is processed within 5–7 business days of return approval.
  • Shipping charges paid at checkout are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

7. Missing or Damaged Parts

If a part is missing or arrives damaged (not due to transit — see Shipping Policy Section 6 for transit damage), follow this process:

  • Report within 24 hours of delivery by emailing us with:
    • Your order number
    • Kit name
    • Part number (from the illustrated manual)
    • A clear photograph showing the missing slot or damaged part
  • We will send a free replacement part within 5–7 business days.
  • Part replacement requests made more than 24 hours after delivery cannot be processed under this policy.
