Description

The perfect first build. A bionic reptile robot with wobbly eyes — entirely made by your child.

Wobbly Eyes is the most approachable kit in the DigiDocks Inventor Box series — ideal for first-time builders or younger kids doing their first real electronics assembly. Wire the motor. Attach the frame. Switch it on. Watch the eyes wobble as it moves — and watch your child's face when they realise it works because they built it.

It has a personality. It's funny. It goes on the desk. Everyone who sees it asks "what is that?" And your child gets to say: "I built it."

What Your Young Engineer Builds

  • 🦎 A bionic reptile robot — motor-driven, with character
  • 👀 Wobbly eyes that jiggle with movement — real inertia physics, genuinely delightful
  • ⚡ Motor circuit — the ideal first real electronics build
  • 🪵 Compact reptile frame — desk-sized, shelf-worthy, conversation-starting

The Achievement

The fewest steps in the Inventor Box lineup — finished in one sitting, under 30 minutes, without help. That's intentional. For a child who's never built anything with real electronics before, completing this kit and watching it work is the moment everything changes. Suddenly building things feels possible. That belief carries forward.

Science Built Into Every Step

  • Motor Circuits — how electricity through a circuit creates motion
  • Biomimicry — designing machines that mimic living creatures
  • Mechanical Assembly — how components fit and work together
  • Inertia & Oscillation — why the eyes wobble (real physics, not a gimmick)

💡 ₹499. The lowest barrier to "I built something real." After this one, they'll ask for the next kit. That's how it starts.

Part of the DigiDocks Inventor Box series. Real electronics. Real woodcraft. Real engineering. No screens required.

What You'll Learn

bolt

Motor Circuits

Build your first real electronics circuit — connecting a battery, switch, and DC motor and seeing how electricity produces movement.

smart_toy

Biomimicry

Learn how engineers study living creatures to design machines. Wobbly Eyes is inspired by the body structure of real reptiles.

build

Mechanical Assembly

Fit parts together step by step to build a complete working machine — learning how structure and components depend on each other.

Inertia and Oscillation

Understand why the eyes wobble — the motor creates vibration in the frame, and inertia keeps the eyes swinging back and forth. This is the same physics as a pendulum.

Everything You Need to Know

What tools does my child need? expand_more
A Phillips screwdriver — included in the kit. No other tools are needed. This is the most beginner-friendly build in the Inventor Box series.
What batteries does it need? expand_more
2 AA batteries, not included. They are available at any general store.
Why do the eyes wobble? expand_more
The wobbly eyes are mounted so they swing freely. As the motor vibrates the frame, inertia keeps the eyes oscillating back and forth — the same physics as a pendulum. It is real engineering, not a gimmick.
Is this suitable for children younger than 8? expand_more
The kit contains small parts including screws. We recommend ages 8 and above, or close adult supervision for younger children. Small parts should always be kept away from children under 3.
What if a part is missing or gets broken? expand_more
Contact DigiDocks support with your product name and the part number from your illustrated manual. We will send a replacement quickly.
Does it need coding or a computer? expand_more
No. Wobbly Eyes runs on a motor and switch only — no coding, no app, and no screen time during the build. Most children finish it in under 30 minutes.
